Virgin Games chooses Playtech
Playtech Limited, the international designer, developer and licensor of software for the online, mobile and land-based gaming industries, has signed a partnership agreement with leading operator Virgin Games.
The deal will see Gaming Technology Solutions Limited, Playtech’s soft gaming solutions developer acquired in December, licence its Enhanced Gaming Engine (EdGE) software platform to Virgin Games while delivering a new selection of game products.
Isle Of Man-based Playtech stated that the EdGE platform is a cost-effective and easily integrated games engine that will allow Virgin to manage and operate its games with ease. In addition, it revealed that the platform’s ICE back-office toolset would deliver many functional and performance enhancements to Virgin Games including support for games marketing campaigns, report customisation and customer support through a practical and easy to use interface.
“We are looking forward to working with Gaming Technology Solutions and, through the delivery of its platform, we have access to a variety of leading games content from world class developers,” said Warren Eloff from Virgin Games.
“ICE is a comprehensive management suite and we are confident that the added level of control we will have over our games content will have a very positive effect on our growth.”
“We are delighted that Virgin Games, a well-established and leading operator, has chosen Playtech's Gaming Technology Solutions as its games integration partner and EdGE as its software solution,” said Mor Weizer, Chief Executive Officer for Playtech.
“Virgin Games is setting new benchmarks in terms of its player promotion and marketing activities and we look forward to a successful partnership in 2010 and beyond.”
