INTERNET-POKER.CO.UK-La Ronde Wins English Poker Open

The English Poker Open has ended and David La Ronde was crowned the first ever champion. La Ronde had to outlast quite a crowd of competitors to win the first place prize. The event took place at Dusk Till Dawn and several poker pros were in attendance vying for the first ever title.

La Ronde had to defeat Micheal Tureniec in heads up play to earn the £208,367 first prize and he did successfully. I’m sure La Ronde was glad to get past Tureniec as his last big pay day was a second place finish. Last year’s GUKPT Luton Main Event saw La Ronde come up just short of the win.

Overall the first ever English Poker Open was a great success as it attracted a large crowd of competitors as well as passing its prize pool guarantee. The event also created the largest pay day to date at Dusk Till Dawn, which is also quite an accomplishment.
